NOVAE DESIGN STUDIO PARTNERS WITH VALUES-DRIVEN BUSINESSES TO CRAFT STRATEGIC, SOULFUL BRAND IDENTITIES.
I create thoughtful brand identities for purpose-driven businesses who want their visual presence to feel as aligned as their mission. With a background in graphic and web design, I’ve spent the past several years freelancing and refining my approach to intentional, strategy-led design.
Novae is my own step into greater visibility. It is a space where I bring together everything I’ve learned throughout my creative journey. My goal is to support founders who are building meaningful things and who believe business can be a force for change, by valuing community over consumption and authenticity over perfection.
Through all of it, two things have remained constant: my connection to nature and my spiritual curiosity. Both deeply influence the way I approach design. I see branding not just as visual decoration, but as a form of storytelling, by expressing identity, values, and intention through thoughtful visual language.
Novae was born from the belief that business can be something more. I’m drawn to working with people who are building meaningful things and want their work to contribute something positive to the world.
quite feel right. A year abroad in Taiwan shifted everything. Living within a different culture expanded my perspective and showed me how vast the world truly is.
It was during that time that I realized I wanted a life that allowed freedom, creativity, and exploration. Art felt like the path that could bring those things together.
When I returned, I changed course and pursued a degree in Graphic and Web Design. Since then, my journey has been anything but linear. I’ve moved states, worked in the service industry, began teaching music, and continued freelancing while building the foundations of my own studio. (Yes, it’s been a wildly busy time!)
Even then, I felt a deep curiosity about life and the unseen forces that shape it... a pull towards creativity, spirituality, and the sense that there was something greater connecting it all.
After high school, I began college pursuing music, but something about the path didn’t
I grew up on a small farm in Minnesota, where much of my childhood was spent outdoors. I would often bring my sketchbook to a favorite hilltop overlooking the fields, passing hours drawing, reading, studying wildflowers, and quietly observing the rhythms of nature.
Those early experiences shaped the way I see the world. Nature taught me to notice detail, to appreciate beauty in the ordinary, and to trust the quiet process of growth and change.
I believe design can help bring great visions to life, and that mindful brands have the power to shape a more conscious and connected world.
Since then, I've worn many hats as a designer, musician, teacher, and server while building my own studio. Through every season, my connection to nature and my spiritual curiosity have remained constant. They continue to shape the way I approach branding as thoughtful storytelling that expresses identity, values, and purpose.

You’ve recently shifted or evolved, and your brand no longer reflects who you are. You’re ready for a transformation that aligns with your next chapter and brings clarity to your renewed vision.
You’re building a business rooted in intention, whether in sustainability, ethical products, or conscious living, and you need a brand that truly reflects your values and connects with your community.
You’re a creative building something of your own, ready to move from passion project to a more established presence that looks cohesive across platforms. You want branding that supports and elevates your craft but won’t steal the show.
Your work supports others, whether through coaching, wellness, or spiritual work. You’re ready for a brand that reflects your depth and allows your message to reach more people in a more meaningful way.
When I’m not designing, you can probably find me reading, thrifting, or teaching music—I play cello and piano—or catching a concert at Red Rocks. I love slow afternoons on a sunny patio with a margarita and my fiancé, Dillon, or exploring the beauty of the Rockies through hiking, camping, and quiet moments by a creek with a sketchbook in hand.
Nature has always been a deep source of inspiration in my work. In a world that often feels fast and digital, I’m drawn to the textures, rhythms, and calm found in the natural world. That influence carries into my design, where I aim to create brands that feel grounded, intentional, and quietly magnetic.
In the natural world, growth happens with intention and in its own time. I bring that same mindset to design, allowing each brand to develop thoughtfully so the final result feels authentic and built to last.
Your brand grows from your story, your values, and the vision behind what you are building. My role is to help uncover those foundations and translate them into a visual identity that feels honest, intentional, and true to how you want to show up in the world.
Trends come and go, but meaningful brands are built on clarity and purpose. Every design decision is made thoughtfully, ensuring your visuals reflect the deeper story of your business while leaving space for creativity that feels expressive and personal.
The process is guided by clear communication, mutual respect, and honoring each other’s capacity. I approach this work knowing that behind every brand is a real person building something meaningful.
The creative work at Novae is never AI generated, but carefully shaped through intuition, lived experience, and original creativity. The human focus is more important than ever before, and your clients will feel the difference.
I love the warmth and personality of vintage design, particularly in the expressive typography and organic forms. Vintage-influenced design brings us back to a time before the digital age, when graphic artists cut and pasted carefully designed layouts, while Fleetwood Mac or Pink Floyd played on the turntable. The era carries a sense of humanity and nostalgia that brings warmth and character into modern brand design.
I have always been drawn to the beauty and sensuality of the Art Nouveau movement, with its lush depictions of flora and fauna, organic flowing lines, and celebration of feminine beauty. It feels almost dreamlike—like stepping into a world where nature is woven into the small details of everyday life. This influence often finds its way into my work through natural forms, bold typography, and visual rhythms.
The quiet power and endless beauty of the natural world is difficult to put into words. From the intricate patterns found in the smallest details to landscapes that stop you in your tracks, nature has always been my greatest source of inspiration. It’s more than simply visual; it’s the serenity of watching a sunset, the awe of birds moving in unison, and the reminder that we’re all one. In my work, I hope to carry that feeling forward, creating brands that encourage connection with our planet, and with each other.
The cosmos has long fascinated me. The quiet vastness of the night sky carries a sense of mystery and possibility. Throughout history, people have looked to the stars for guidance, inspiration, and a reminder that we are part of something greater. In my work, cosmic symbolism reflects the idea of expansion: the moment when a spark of vision grows into something luminous. Every brand, like every star, has its own light waiting to shine.
Music has always been a central part of my life. As a cellist and pianist, I've learned how rhythm, harmony, and dynamics come together to create something expressive and alive. Whether I'm sitting at the piano or getting lost in the energy of.a concert, I'm continually inspired by music's ability to evoke emotion and bring people together through a shared experience. That same perspective carries into my design work, where I consider balance, energy, and emotion, arranging each element with intention so the final brand feels meaningful and alive.
